Recorder Book 1 - It's Time to Play

IT’S TIME TO PLAY is part of the It’s Time to Play series, a collection of method books for band, strings, recorder and ukulele that build on the strong foundation of the elementary general music classroom. Students explore a diverse repertoire of fifty songs from around the world while singing with lyrics, solfège, and note names before playing. They learn to listen, balance, play musically, create, and improvise, with opportunities for rounds and harmony parts. Each page aligns with the National Arts Standards, engaging students in Creating, Performing, Responding, and Connecting.
